Naseem Faridnia began her tattooing journey in 2026 and is currently completing her apprenticeship at Shanghai Tattoo under the guidance of Zhuo Dan Ting.

Before beginning her tattoo career, Naseem studied Design at the University of California, Davis, graduating in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her background in art and design continues to influence the way she approaches her tattoo work.

Naseem is especially drawn to nature-inspired imagery with a surreal, psychedelic, and sometimes darker edge. Insects, plants, animals, and strange creatures often find their way into her work, along with high contrast, heavy blacks, and grungy textures. Her influences range from anime and childhood cartoons to internet culture and her Persian heritage.

Naseem loves experimenting with different styles and finding unexpected ways to bring an idea to life. She sees each tattoo as a chance to try something new and create a piece that feels original and personal to the client. As she continues to develop as a tattoo artist, she hopes to take on larger, more flowing work and eventually create full-body compositions.

Naseem is currently tattooing at Shanghai Tattoo in Historic Folsom, California, where she is welcoming new clients for both appointments and walk-ins.
